Missa Diapente

Missa Diapente (2008) is a short Missa Brevis for unaccompanied voices. It is suitable for either liturgical or concert use. The term diapente refers to the prominent use of the interval of a fifth throughout the piece. In particular, each movement ends on a sonority of perfect fifths, stacked vertically. With its absence of any divisi, the work can be performed either by a mixed chorus or four solo voices.
